The Distraction of Sound

This short film explores how sound shapes our inner world — how it can both quiet our thoughts and overstimulate our minds. Moving from city noise to silence, it reflects on how every person experiences a unique sonic reality, how sounds live briefly inside us as memory, and how constant sensory input exhausts us. Through personal experiences with silence, sleep, and meditation, the film argues for creating space by listening less, consuming less, and creating more — inviting us to rethink our relationship with sound, attention, and rest.

BE PREPARED TO LOSE YOUR MIND

This short film documents the intense journey from creative burnout to performing a first self-led concert in one of Germany’s most prestigious jazz clubs. Starting with a single message, it follows the race against time—forming a band, composing and arranging nearly 100 minutes of music, rehearsing under pressure, promoting the show, and navigating technical breakdowns and self-doubt. Through exhaustion, chaos, and persistence, the film captures how creation under extreme constraints can reignite inspiration—and proves that with commitment, collaboration, and a bit of madness, the impossible can become real.
